Come explore the styles acro, ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, tap, and technique. Dancers will improve their coordination, strength, and flexibility; all while learning complex combinations and exploring new movement styles. In addition, we also offer classes in Pilates and sculpting to help support the new techniques that your dancer will discover.
ADCE - by audition only
Ensemble of dancers that find joy in sharing their love of dance with the community. Dancers travel and perform both locally and regionally.
Students will work on tumbling, flexibility, and control while combining dance and gymnastics floor skills. Students will begin with somersaults, cartwheels, backbends, and balance moves, then progress to walkovers, limbers, handsprings, aerials and partner work. Dancers are expected to have some experience with ballet and jazz.
Dancers will study turnout, body position, balance, grace, and poise as they learn and use proper terminology while learning the basic ballet class structure. As dancers progress through the levels, they will continue to build upon these fundamentals while performing more complex movements. Those interested in Pointe must have several years of ballet experience and the permission of the instructor.
Dancers will begin by learning Hip Hop basics with a Jazz dance focus. As dancers progress, they will work on speed and musicality while working on fun choreography and working with peers to explore the style of Hip Hop. In addition, the boys’ class will incorporate B-Boy styles, while working on strength and agility.
Dancers will study Jazz fundamentals; including traveling steps, isolations, kicks, turns, and more. In addition, dancers will work on body position and placement. As dancers progress, combinations will become more complex while challenging musicality and directionality.
Lyrical / Contemporary
Students will explore the styles of Ballet, Jazz, and Modern dance as it fuses and exits in the current dance world. Dancers are encouraged to have experience in one or all of these styles.
A combination of the musical theater jazz combined with acting exercises, basic vocal training, and imagination. Dancers will begin to explore the Musical Theater world. *Dancers must take a Ballet or Jazz class in addition to Musical Theater and it must be level IIA or higher. In addition to monthly tuition, there will be a one-time fee for this class.
Dancers will explore the exciting technique of Tap. Rhythm, timing, and musicality are all key tools taught in this class. Dancers will enjoy creating music with their feet as they are introduced to Tap or continue to work on Tap skills.
This class practices building strength and control while working to increase flexibility and gain better placement and form when executing jumps, turns and a variety of technical skills. This class is for dancers ages 6-10.
